At least 1,500people have died in Pakistan from severe rains and flooding this summer, as the country sees its eighth cycle of monsoon rains, Pakistan’s Minister for Climate Change told CNN Wednesday as the country appealed for international assistance.
Thousands have no shelter and food due to this humanitarian disaster; thousands are homeless without shelter, without food. And the communication lines have been cut off. It is a serious humanitarian disaster.” 
She also tweeted that among the dead are 500 children. 

Heavy monsoon rains and floods have affected 2.3 million people in Pakistan since mid-June, according to the United Nations’ Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

At least 125,000 homes have been destroyed, according to the humanitarian agency. The southeastern province of Sindh and the southwestern province of Balochistan are the two most “affected provinces in terms of human and infrastructural impact,” OCHA wrote in a press release.
More than 504,000 livestock have been killed, nearly all of them in Balochistan, while nearly 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) of roads and 129 bridges have been damaged, blocking access to flood-affected areas, OCHA writes. 
In collaboration with Dhoraji Youth Services Foundation, Friends of Humanity is assisting flood affected families in:

District Thatta and adjacent villages. Tando Jan Muhammad & adjacent villages. District Digri and
adjacent villages. We have already served 24,000 meals, and currently distributing 1,000 tents, mosquito nets, over 3,000 large drinking water bottles, and over 3,000 Uncooked Ration boxes.

We are also assisting flood affected families in Kot Issa Khan in Dera Ismail Khan. Over 80% of the village has been destroyed. We are providing food ration, charpai, tents, mosquito nets, and other life saving supplies.
